Can't make up my mind for Motor Oil - HELP PLZ

Mobil 1 syn and Mobil 1 filter... Works for me just fine.
I know that these new synthetics last much longer and will extend the length of time before oil breaks down. Guess I'm old school I beleive a shorter interval oil changes removes suspended contaminants from the engine. My outside limit in service inervals is 8K and I try to get to them every 5K to 6K.

I considered RP too, but I don't remember reading where, whether it was here or maybe some other forum, that RP is good stuff but the oil breaks down much faster than others and the change interval is more frequent. So Amsoil it is. I will be testing my oil via Blackstone Labs too eventually.

Anyone using German castrol 0w-30? Heard good stuff about it in the past so have been using it since I bought the car a couple years ago. Used to use mobile 1 but it seemed to burn more in the Honda s2000 I used to run it in so stopped using it. Others had the same experience.
