Cannot open trunk

I have a 2005 FX35.

Went to Lowes and could not get the trunk open when I came back to the FX.

I armed and dis-armed, opened the drivers door. Started it nothing.

It's been two days, the trunk still will not open.

What, if anything, am I doing wrong?

Thanks

do you hear the lock / unlock when you press the remote? Do you have the I-key? did you will the unlock switch on the driver side door?

If you don't hear a noise from the hatch when unlocking ,then its just that. ..
I think there is a manual trunk release .. . not sure , will check.

somewhere in the back of the door from the inside is a little square and when you pop it off you will see a lever to manually open the door.

FYI. All cars regardless of the Make and Model (after a certain year) have this. This is done so if you ever have to crawl out of your trunk you can open it from in side the car with or with having power.

and so people cant be locked in trunks :err: i know alot of cars have the glowing handle that releases the trunk from inside.

i have this problem intermittently too... trunk outside button will not open the trunk, take out the fuse (15amp near fuse puller), put it back in and it will usually solve the problem... but then a little while later it wont open again... fuse is good... its been happening more frequently recently... what gives?

haha... more like a recall meet at an infiniti dealer... if we get enough to show maybe will get it fixed for free

so now my trunk release wont release at all... checked fuse and its fine... guessing the motor is shot... is there a manual release somewhere

yes, get on your back seat and reach into the trunk, towards the bottom of the actual hatch there is a 2x2" square plastic cutout, pull that off and pull the level insude UP AND PUSH AT THE SAME TIME...VOILA!

mine works sometimes and other times it wont. Funny thing, when it don't work is when I go to the store or something and need to put stuff back there. :mad.:

It happens to me too, does your passenger door do it too? I noticed whenever this happens if I manually unlock the passenger door from the inside, my trunk will unlock and open too. I go thru this once a week and it works everytime.
