Cannot control climate or radio via center console...

Hi ,

So I have a 2009 fx35 AWD that has 60K miles on it. Had it for a year and last week something strange happened. I was driving for about 2hrs when I wanted to change the temp, found out the no buttons on the center console work, except for the flashers and the eject button on the cd player. Not sure why. It started working again for a bit then stopped and has never worked again.

I removed the negative battery cable for a few hours but that did not fix it. Any ideas?

Any suggestions/ideas would be great....hoping I don't have to take it to the dealer.

Added information, when pressing the "+" or "-" for the fan on the console, I hear a faint "beep". Not sure if it was there when everything was working though. Blue tooth phone works, but cannot control it from the screen or anything. No GPS etc....
 
I would first check the fuses by the driver's foot rest. If I remember correctly, there is one labeled radio/hvac.
 
Thanks.....thats my plan, once it gets warmer in chicago....is that the only place you think a fuse for it would be?
 
ok so I checked the fuses......and they are fine. Any other ideas? I did find out that late models of the G35 had a similar issue with the radio controls where a cable was the cause in the radio. Have not yet found anyone else who has had the same issue with the FX's though. Any help appreciated.

I haven't get to mess with 2nd enough, but have you pull the console panel to see if the cable/plug is lose?
