can the nail polish fix the vinyl crack??

some cracks happen to my black leather seat, the side looks like vinyl not leather..

did any one fix this yourself before? my friend told me to put clear nail polish on it..

any idea??

I'm pretty sure as soon as you sit in the seat again the crack would be stressed again and the nail polish would crack/pop off.

If your under warranty the dealer should replace it... I had a tear in the pleather on my driver seat, and they replaced it for no cost.
