Can I replace OEM 35W HID with 55W 6000K HID bulb?

Question 1: Is there any 55W 6000K HID D2S bulb out there on the market?

Question 2: Can one normal D2S HID bulb handle high beam as well as low beam? Do I need separate bulbs for high and low beam?

Question 3: If I replace OEM 35W bulbs with 55W bulbs, do I need to update the OEM ballasts?

Question 4: Would the 55W generate more heat and melt the OEM headlight housing?

Any comments would be highly appreciated!

you probably would need different wiring for the 55kit, you'll probably blow a fuse or burn something up if you dont get the proper wiring...
a custom headlight housing to sustain such heat generating from a small area.

Thanks for reply, do you mean the 55w HID bulb is not that hot to melt the housing?
Also wondering where the OEM ballasts are? is it hard to replace it with a 55W one?

in order to replace the OEM ballast, you would have to remove your grill, bumper, headlight Assembly. Not to mention the oem ballast covers up a hole in the botttom of the headlights. Our projectors and connections are hidden inside our headlight housing which means you will have to bring the new ballast connctions into the headlights then seal it up somehow unless you want to cut into the oem wiring.

If it was me, i wouldn't do it and stick to oem
