Can someone please help. I am very mechanically incline , but cannot remove the connector off bank 1 camshaft sensor:sad_1: I have spent a bunch time trying . I Tried initially while screwed in and also with the 10mm removed.
Here's what I am doing. There is a tab in the middle, so I push it in as far as it will go, til it stops ( maybe 1/4 inch) and while it's in , I pull on the connector.
Am I missing something ? Does the slide /push lever need tio be push down too or something? Thanks

I recently changed my Cam Position Sensor. I hope its the same type of connector on your FX35. Its a sliding type.

Mine isnt green its grey. There is a center tab that pushes in, but then stays and stops.

Need to get the tab in further, it might be stuck. Basically once it goes in enough it releases the connector, I had to use pliers . I think your grey tab is the crankshaft sensor.. same connector style.

Got a picture of the other side of the connector?
From the shape of the connector, it looks just like the one in my car.

I had to use pliers, screw driver, and my wife to get it.
Wife used the pliers and gripped the sensor. I pushed the tab and jammed a flat head between the connector and the sensor.

The crank sensor on the bottom of the car is the same connector and that popped off no problems one handed.

Hey fellas, work has me in Orlando for the day so I'll tear at it again Saturday morning and post up.
Im affraid to jack up the wires or crack the connector and really be screwed. Maybe theres dirt/oil crap in there.
Guess i could spray some brake or throttle cleaner in there

Good news! They both came off with the help of a long flat head screwdriver and a nudge. While I had the throttle body off, I use some crc throttle cleaner, q tips, microfiber towel and cleaned both sides of it as well. I didn't move the flap at all and got it pretty clean. Definitely smoother idle. Thank you guys
