I just got off the phone with the shop doing an alignment on my FX and they said.....

Front camber was out almost one degree and that it was not adjustable but the could get an adjustment mod bolt that would make it adjustable. Labor and part $230.00 does this sound correct? Also toe in on front way out so maybe this was cause of inside tread wear ?

Rear camber was out about half a degree also not adjustable no fix.Reat toe was out so they adjusted it as well hopefully this was cause of inside tread wear in the rear.

I have to call them back ASAP and let them know whether or not to get the special adjuster bolt for front camber adjustment so they can install now and not charge for another alignment.
Question is should I get this done?
Question is it true there is no camber adjustment for front or rear on 04 FX?

If mine is not within specs should I have them install front camber adjustment kit for 230.00 parts and labor?

go to a different place i aligned my car 8 months later on h&rs took it a place they said its out of spec, then i went to American tire in hollywood. The guy adjusted both 4 sides in spec, the last degree in spec

i think it was -1.3 for the rears, the last ok degree for oe

camber bolts are on ebay for about 40 bills.. are you feeling a little adventurous? i would do the install yourself and take it back for the re-align

second opinion wouldnt hurt

There is some wiggle room in the OEM bolts for adjustment. Not a lot, but they can sometimes get it back into spec even if you're lowered. They should be able to adjust the toe to keep it within spec even if you're slammed. I'm dropped over 3" and my front and rear camber are way out of spec at -2 and -2.5 respectively (this is intentional) but my toe is within spec. Improper toe will kill tires way, way quicker than too much negative camber.

there are also bolt kits for the rear to allow more adjustment too, 2 kits are needed in the rear and one in the front, kits range from a little under $40 to a little over $50 each from what I remember...

toe being off will cause scrub which will def eat away at a tire much quicker than just an uneven footprint which is what camber alone being off would cause...

The shop is getting some like this for the front....

Do you know part# and where to get thr rear kits? Rear is only out just under a half degree should I even bother with the rear?

spc #72055 and spc #72265 for the rears. you'll still need to slot the subframe, the kits come with templates for this... also if you have the rear gtspec brace then the bolt from this kit winds up being a bit short on thread engagement
judging your tire wear I'd say get the kits and get everything within spec... the rears are tricky, one bolt does mainly toe but effects camber and the other does mostly camber but also effects toe, lowered with alignment concerns, get the kits I'd say...

Help With Camber Adjustments Kits

Spc 2x #72265 kit

You have the rear lateral bar, so even more modifications are necessary. The lateral bars holes have to be elongated horizontally to fit after camber correction bolts used.

IWC Motorsports did mine in San Berdo, I purchased bolts online and gave to them. I can't remember $125 I think, but I am pretty low on coilovers. I would think they could get in spec you being on H\Rs I think.

Can the rear camber kit only bring the camber back into spec? Or could you get more negative camber out of it? Since it's just bolts and widening the slot I wasn't sure.

the bolts simply increase the adjustment range. it will allow more adjustment both ways really.

before the adjustment range was

[---.---]

and after it would be

[----.----]

I just had an alignment done yesterday at Firestone. They were able to get the fronts within their tolerances without having to adjust the top camber plate on the Kidos but I think I'm still going to need the subframe slotting kits for the rear. Here is the report:

Would fire stone give hassle for dropped and 25mm spacers?
I remember last time i had to take spacers off to get an alignment
