Call from Dealer wanting to buy my FX

I got a curious call from the dealership that works on my FX and they wanted to know if I wanted to sell my FX. He said they were offering to buy it because they have a large demand for used FX's and that mine was in such good condition. My first instinct is that they just want to sell me a new one. He did say that he could put me in a new one for 10% above invoice and that would be around 30,000. Anyone else have this happen?

WOW i actually did about 30 mins ago from my dealership at TUSTIN INFINITI
and yea they called me asking me if i wanted to sell mine.
i was confused at first and thought exactly the same thing they are trying to sell me a new one but they said 20% so it was mainly 20-25000 for a brand new 2009 fx

Did you just have it serviced, because the same thing happened to me not long after a service?

BS sales pitch. I get the letters all the time
& that was 6 months after ownershp . . in '05

+1 This is a sales tactic. They're just trying to get you to come in and trade your car in for another one. They went through their sales and service database and are trying to squeeze business out of old customers. Has nothing to do with the demand for your FX.

I received a similar letter from the dealer I originally purchased my FX from too.

I get mailers all the time..........they just end up in the trash

I get the same letters about my G35s. If they get you on the lot, there is a lot better chance you'll buy something or get serviced than if you never get on the lot at all. Plus, dealers can often make more profit on used cars, car for car.

I get a call almost yearly from the Saab / Caddy dealer I got my FX from, wanting to know how things are going with it and if I'm in the market for a newer model car like a best-in-the-industry crash-test-rated Saab or a luxurious Cadillac
