Lucky, I use to live in SD and now live 6 hours from Auto Club Speedway. Can't wait to head back to SD this summer and be part of these outings. Only have been twice to the speedway and it is fun to see how people are interested in the fx's :tup:.
 
Just got home....Running of the 35's!! Vey nice meeting everyone. HUGE TURNOUT.....they really needed 2 days...it was packed...I'll post my times in a little while

Guys we have a SERIOUS Freak of nature.....Tony's (Booost Freak310) friend has the ABSOLUTE fastest FX35 around!! Alan and I looked for a nitrous bottle or something to justify his time....all he has is Headers, intake, exhaust(y back, stock y pipe) and TB spacer. NO TUNE! put it this way...look up TheMerchants best time....he got beat by a little over 2 car lengths.

I believe Johns(?) brother is a professional driver or something...blew all of us away.

Damn Toy, your home early. How many runs did you guys get in? How many FXers showed up? Glad you guys had a good time. I'm still stuck at work. Did you guys take any pics?
 
yup, very crowed (around >400 cars there). I got 2 runs in and the time was already 12. last time I was able to get 3 runs during the same time.

Well yes, boostfreaks friend (NismoFX --- thats his custom license plate)did an amazing job. He ran a 14.9 !! watch out Will, a new winner is stepping up.

I ran slow (low 16s) again, not sure if I have a dirty MAF sensor or what.?

I know. crazy.Dont tell Dave, but he has a TB spacer:eek:. I even had a better launch. Hopefully he will join the forum soon.... real cool guy.

do the cleaning the same time you are cleaning your filter. Make sure you dont over "oil" the filter.

We had to get home for the USC - FUCLA game :.smile:

Merchant and I only did 2 runs, we left at 12:30.....Booost Freak and friend stayed....but didn't run with us on our second run....he probably will get in 2 more runs.

Yeah 14.9!!!:eek: imagine this guy is NA! no plenum spacer..no custom y pipe, no tuning!

FxTion with his STAGE 4 ran a 14.71
Flxr8's stage 2 ran a 14.91!

We have no idea how this 35 is this fast

Booost Freak killed me off the line my first race. I started coming back but ran out of room. First race was 15.974.....but I left VDC on and forgot to put it into manual till 2nd gear. Rookie mistake!

Second race I went against Merchant and ran a 16.021...but I think I shifted into third early killing my time. When I shifted into 3rd I heard the engine bog down a little. Alan killed me on my reaction time too (man I suck)...but he shifted too early into 2nd and I was able to pull away. 3rd gear shift killed me....all my times were better till the end. Rt, 60, 330, and 1/8 were all better. 1/4 and mph were worse.
 
wow NA FX35 almost as fast as boosted FX35. He must have a secret add 100 HP button somewhere. hehe

Man, it sounds like you guys had a lot of fun.

Booost Freak probably has them..he brought a couple buddies and they were in the grandstands. He was going to race all day..so more pics and video wont be up till late tonight...or whenever he gets around to it.
 
Good to hear you guys had a great time. 400+ cars is the norm for street legal track days and the the last time you guys went was the exception.

Very very hard to believe a NA FX35 can do 14.9...something is amiss here for sure. Lets see what gets unveiled.

Btw, post up your timeslips for me when you get the chance so I can update.
 
talking with the owner of the white fx 'NismoFX' (sorry forgot your name). He indicated he had an intake (stock tube with cone filter), headers, stock Y w/ custom flowmaster.

Andy and I was allow to look under the hood and it was what he said. Maybe he has something under there, but it wasnt obvious.

I hope he decides to join and give us his secret. or maybe its just a BEAST.
