burning smell

what's up IS people? I have a question. when ever i drive a lettle hard meaning mid to wide open throttle why do i get a burning smell? could it be because of the CAI and nismo exhaust that i need the air to fuel ratio adusted? do anyone else experience this type of smell without having a tune? :confused:

i would have to say probably smells like rubber.

do you smell it inside your car or outside? after some aggressive driving i can smell a burning scent but only if i stand behind the mufflers.

interesting.. might wanna get that checked out then, cant imagine it being too healthy breathing it in.

still have yet to spot you even though we are prob just minutes apart haha (i'm in kop)

The fact that you smell it while inside the car implies that the scent may be entering the cabin through the fresh air duct (via cabin filter) which happens to be inches from the battery. I would check your battery for leakage. Mine leaked once and sent the smell of sulfuric acid (smells sort of like burnt rubber) into the cabin. Driving aggressively may be shaking the battery around enough to trigger this phenomenon. I can't remember whether or not the OEM battery has a vent hose attached but it's worth a look.
