bunch if lights on after a turn

This is the second time this has happened, Just took a right hand turn from a stop and the traction control, vdc, abs and awd lights came on. They went off the next time I drove it. Is there a common sensor that goes bad causing this or maybe some bad/loose wiring? I heard that low power steering fluid could potentially cause this... would that be correct? 2011 fx35

Sounds like your brake fluid is low. There's a sensor inside the brake fluid reservoir and you're at that level where a sudden turn or movement will cause the oil to shift and trigger the sensor. All those lights are showing because all those systems use brakes to function. Just top it up a bit and you'll be good. This happens when the brake pads wear down. More brake fluid goes into the calipers and as such take fluid away from the reservoir. Don't fill it too much because when you throw on a set of new brakes pads you'll have to push the brake caliper pistons back and that will cause the brake fluid reservoir to overflow and spill oil. And brake oil is not a nice oil to have spilling on anything especially paint. If it does, I recommend wiping it down with a shop towel or paper towel and washing the compartment with soap and water. You can also law down a towel over a shopping bag so if oil does spill it will soak into the towel and the bag will prevent the oil in the towel from touching anything else. Brake oil is so thin it finds ways to go everywhere.

Nice. Thanks for the info. Fortunately I just happened to get a bunch of dot 4 to replace whatever is currently in there now

So after checking the brake fluid, it was at max fill line and Ive now had this happen a few more times, twice was while the car was just idling and the other just while driving straight. The two times at idle, first time i was clearing dtc's and i heard a loud clicking sound, drove it a mile to a parking lot, shut off and started car, lights were still on momentarily and i head a loud click sound again and the lights all shut off.

Most recent time was when i was trying to check the abs sensors through the obd tool while the car was running and all the lights went on once i started accessing the live data but the sensors were so far all reading functioning. I really thought it would be an abs sensor going bad, There is a past dtc code of a bad abs sensor c1203-00 and c1107-00 FR RH but i'm not sure when those were triggered. Like since ive owned it or from a previous time. Not really sure how else to test them or what else to check

Edit* I did find another post on another forum of this exact issue and in their case it was an abs sensor wire frayed and shorting on the steering knuckle. Guess i'll start there. I'm hoping the sensor isn't just bad on its own as that usually indicates a bad wheel bearing too

Edit gain* Theres a good chance this could be from a bad stoplight switch. I did have troubles getting it out of park the last two days. Didn't think it could be related.

Woah so your issue is totally different then. Mine was just the brake fluid. Even though it wasn't low, I added just a bit and the lights haven't come on. Good luck.

Well, i did check the power steering and brake fluid as well as the antifreeze reservoir. The coolant tank was pretty much empty and filled that up a bit and to my surprise it hasn't happened again since. Not sire if that really was related or if it was just a fluke thing. I did try to do a quick check with one of the abs wires just to see if i could feel any damage but seemed fine. I'll double check them again when i do the brakes. Otherwise its been good so far *shrugs*
