Broken rear diff bushing?

Just had wife's 2009 FX 35 in an independent shop for 60,000 mile check up. They discovered a broken bushing for the rear diff. Said this bushing is part of the rear sub-frame and Infiniti's repair for this bushing is a new sub-frame at over $1,000 to repair. When I checked with local Infiniti dealer they quoted over $2,200 for the repair.

My indy mechanic said it should be possible to find a replacement bushing and just replace the bushing for a lot less. Since they specialize more in German cars he called a few local shops that work on Nissan/Infiniti and found a bushing that is listed for similar Nissan and Infiniti cars but the '09 FX 35 is not listed. Said that more than likely it would work.

Just curious if anyone on here knows of the correct rear diff bushing for an '09 FX 35?

I don't think it is replaceable on the FX. You have to replace the entire subframe. It's the same way on 1st gens. They make aftermarket bushing's for the Z, but the subframe is different than the FX. Very close, but different.

usually you can live with a busted bushing and dont need to replace.. Is it making noise? if not just leave it till it does
 
So far I have not ran into this problem with the fx but on my 300z I had worn out bushings and it felt like the rear end was slightly loose as I'm driving (a odd feeling). It eventually became worse and can feel it in traffic. I ended up replacing the worn out rubber factory ones with machined aluminum bushings. Just my experience.

Mine (Fx35-2009) have the same problem for couple years, now it does make noise! Do I need to replace or can I live with the noise to the end? I'm trying to find alternative method but all I can see is for first gen fx.

infiniti sells the part. Mine has shot bushings too but the noise isnt there for me. It will not damage anything but if you are really bother by the noise then knock yourself out I personally wouldnt do it though. If you have a couple days to work on your car its is possible. You just have to get the bushings then disconnect driveshaft and acles from the diff. Pull the whole rear subframe out with some more bolts then you locate your shot bushings. You have to burn the rubber out and then you slide the metal part of the bushing with a hydraulic press or anything that can do the job. You slam the new ones in, put the subframe back in and connect everything back together

Where I can find the part? I browsed the catalog and they don't sell it alone, you need the whole set.

Mine went out at 75K miles. I started noticing drops of black liquid....what looked like oil from the backend. Turns out it was a failed bushing. Sewell wound up replacing the entire rear cross member assembly. They said the cost would be over $3K.....thankfully I have an Infiniti Elite extended warranty so they replaced the whole thing for only my $100 deductible. My maintenance receipt lists the part as 55400-1CB0E if that helps any.

Thank you for listing the part code, purchased what it seems a germany made individual rubber arm pushing from amazon (Seller: Finest Auto Parts) The code of mine according to the VIN number: [ 55400-1Cb0C ] both codes seem identical anyway.

It turns out that 554001CB0E is cheaper than 554001Cb0C!
Another Substitution : [ 554001CB0D ]

According to "partsouq" website (from Dubai):
55400-1CB0C : 844.97$
55400-1CB0D : 709.85$
55400-1CB0E : 645.33$

Guess which one is in stock!
