Broken Radio Ribbon Cable

Ok I was putig on my iPod wire on my fx and the white wire that is in back of the face broke can it b fixed or do I need to get a new radio cuz now my gas says its on low web I just filled up the tank and yea can anyone help?
 
If a wire broke, then you should be able to solder it or patch it back together. Pics might help determine exactly what broke.
 
Is it the ribbon cable that broke? If it is the ribbon cable, your screwed...well kind-of....its going to cost you $100 to fix the ribbon cable. Only person I know that can get it is a guy from ebay that I got my radio replaced from. He sells them seperately for $100 or a whole new refurbished radio for $185 including core trade in.

well here is what broke i work for a nissan and infiniti dealer so who much u think they have it for cuz i had to leave my car at work today cuz my car wont go in to drive and parts is closed to 2morrow i hope its cuz of that my car wont go in to drive :(
 
That pic looks familiar....lol. Did the exact same thing. Sorry to break it to you, dealers don't have that part. They will want you to replace the whole stereo.

Check this thread, ebay member name - xw1600 has these ribbon cables, but you have to contact him. He does not post these cables on any auction. When I got my stereo replaced with him, he told me he had the cables in stock and charges $100 for the cable alone.

Ok but cuzbod that cable is that why my car don't want to go in drive I just want to make sure cuz I have to move it lol and yea it's not happening so I want to know is that why my car don't want to go in to drive
 
That cable has nothing to do with why your car wont drive. It is for the stereo cd player and tape player only. Right now with the cable broken, you are now UNABLE to eject cd's, if I remember... you cannot change discs either, and control the tape player (like you ever used it anyways) with this cable broken/ unattached.

The ribbon cable has nothing to do with why your car wont go into drive. There is a computer behind/under the radio, if you messed with that cabling, then your car wont go into drive. I remember taking my stereo out, so I could make the switch to a refurbished stereo faster. I tried turning on my car...nothing. The cable to the computer underneath the radio has to be plugged in in order to start the car.
 
Everything Toy4x has said is correct, mine broke when I was installing my Magellan unit, CD/Tape were non-responsive due to the cable breaking. Haven't bothered to replace mine though. I only listen to my iPod.
 
But my heat and ac don't work like all this happen can of that cable and my gas says its on e when I know it's not and it don't show that my car is in park on the cluster so why did all that happen after that cable broke
 
Its a fuse!!! I'm not sure what number fuse it is, but thats whats causing not being able to get out of gear. All the gauges are dead right? not just gas?

I had all of these same symptoms when I blew a fuse installing my smart cord for my RD! Dead gauges, no a/c, no gear change
 
Ooo thanx yea the gas and the parking thing is the only thing I see that don't work but where is the fuse box at is it the one under the hood or the one in the car?

Do fuses normally blow when installing the smart cord or did you just install it wrong at first?
