Wrapped and Bagged
Looks great on those Advan wheels!

Looked okay, but from a full side view you could tell they were too small diameter wise. 22's with a some thinish rubber will be perfect. I'm aiming for a final rolling diameter of 28.5ish inches, which is about 2 inches shorter than the stock 30.5ish inches.

Looking good Meme. How is the ride on bags?

Thanks.

The ride on bags is really good. Moving from the H&R's to the bags the car definitely lost some of the sport feeling it had, but surprisingly not much of it, and the improvement in compliance and comfort is enormous. The car really does float along much more smoothly.

Overall the thing weighs 4500 lbs, so realistically it wasn't going to win any autocross days regardless, so I'm happy to give up a bit of cornering for a lot of extra comfort.

Nice, always looking forward to your mods. No issues with the compressor or noids freezing up under subfreezing conditions up north?

One of my check valves did freeze, but that was user error since I hadn't emptied the water trap for a long period of time, as long as you take the time to make sure moisture in the system isn't excessive, then no problems.

Here is a road trip I took up to kamloops in BC, where it was anywhere from -10 celcius to -22 celcius:

System performed flawlessly.

14 F, we are having 50 F in December down here! :smug:

This winter more than most I just want it to end. I'm usually keen into winter since I snowboard and snowmobile and stuff, but after my car accident in august, my back is pretty messed up which means I can't do those things. That means that I rather just enjoy warmer weather... Oh well it will come soon enough.

Small update, but an exciting one. Thanks to 91Kord I picked these guys up:

Now some members will instantly recognize the wheels in question. For those that don't:

IS_widebody_fx_02.jpg

That's right, these are exact copies of Rookies original HRE 648R's. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to humbly pay homage to the greatest FX and members this community has had.

The wheels need a buff, and a couple touch ups, so they ain't perfect, but they are beautiful, and I am very proud to be able to rock em.

Few more potato pictures:

Live by the crest.

IMAG0157_zpsd4e64692.jpg

The valve stem just looks like any other bolt. Love the thought behind these.

The specs of the wheels are 22x10 square ET22. With a 2.5" lip up front and a 3.5" in the rear. They are identical in spec to Rookies V.1 wheels. Which leaves me every opportunity to fiddle with them and switch up the inner and outer barrel to building something way more aggressive as necessary.

Very nice, those are going to look dope on your ride.

Wow. That's slammed.
Ya know, those Stock 18's dont look so bad in there.
& The Rookie wheels are awesome

Thanks everyone.

Another incremental update:

Got my second 444c finally installed. So the air portion of the trunk setup is complete:

IMG_20150108_140823_zpsvqlyrcdq.jpg

Now because my factory sub was displaced by all this, it was well past my due date for doing something about the bass.

Enter Wicked CAS:

And JL Audio:

IMAG0163_zpsghsvnkbf.jpg

That's a HD750/1 and a JL10W6v3, LC2i is going to be hidden in there as well, to allow the entire thing to be tuned properly.

The eventual plan is to eliminate the Bose crap altogether, and put in a full component setup, so that LC2i will be upgraded to a LC8i and I will add another 600/4 or 900/5. That won't happen till next year though, so for now the extra thump will be all.

I also finally received my tires:

so my home office looks like this...:

:bulgy-eyes:

Can't wait till spring.

Dope man everything is coming along nicely, that Jl is gonna hit hard

I hope so, I really would like to do something similar to what you have done and have a second enclosure made for the opposite side. But I think the single will hit plenty hard, and at that point I would probably only be doing it for looks and symmetry, which is kinda a waste of money. Haha

Trust me it will hit hard, you can't go wrong with that setup you have. The two 10's I have are basically for show. I don't even use them only when I'm going out of town and need trunk space then I hook them up. I have a custom box with a 12" kicker CVR that I use daily that can be taken out when needed lol. Sounds crazy but it what it is.

That is slightly crazy...lol

Pretty cool

Sweet work Meme.

Thanks guys.

Now I have a slight problem. When the shop was doing the wiring yesterday, they said that when they just pulled RCA's off the bose harness they had a grounding loop problem. So instead they passed the signal through the factory bose amplifier, then into the high level inputs of my new amplifier.

They claim everything is good, and that it is all working good, is this okay? they also told me not to turn the volume on my stereo up past a certain point because the sub is clipping. is that normal?

Clean, Clean.
I need a Wicked CAS!

A sound system would add some weight, which I know you care about, but as far as the box goes, nothing but happy with it. Fits perfectly, and looks the part.

Looks nice meme! Don't think that clipping is normal.

Thanks, yes I don't think this is normal. I blew the fuse yesterday as well, which I'm hoping is not going to become a common occurrence. I'm worried that because they went through the bose amplifier the bose EQ is applied to the subwoofer, which from everything I read online is really going to affect the performance of my subwoofer.

The shop however claims they tested the line and the amp only has a crossover, or something, and that the EQ isn't really affected when you turn up the volume. I just don't know if they are being lazy or everything really is okay how it is.
