Brake+slip+vdc off warning lights

starting yesterday when i cranked my fx up to drive home all 3 of the above warning lights came on and stayed on. They are still on today. I have not changed any settings or turned the vdc off-when i push the vdc button now nothing happens.

any ideas what this means?

My moms Nissan had this problem before. All it was low brake fluid and pads.


Then it happened to her again and that time it was the crank position sensor. But it had the SES light on too with the brake, slip, and VDC lights all on.
 
My FX ('06 with 81K miles) just started doing this a week ago. However it only happens randomly while driving. Meaning, whenever I start the car, there are no warning lights, but at some pt. one or all three of those lights will come on. It happened tonight when the GF and I were heading to dinner, but the brake light eventually went off, but the SLIP and VDC Off lights stayed on until I shut the car off...

I changed all brakes and rotors last summer (70K miles), so I'm certain that shouldn't be the problem. Any other suggestions?
 
If for some reason none of those things work, it may be the brake sensor. I had the issue before and had to replace it. Its directly underneath the brake fluid. Its an easy fix once you get the part. Hopefully its just adding some fluid and you should be good.
 
My car does with only when it's cold. Last time it this this, I checked my pads and my fluid level and both were fine. As it got warmer in the later part of the week, the lights went away. It hasn't returned yet again this year since it has been warmer. I also ran my scanner and no codes came up. I will be ignoring this next time as long as i know that my fluid and pads are good.
 
same exact thing happened few days ago when it got real cold here in nyc then it went away but the brake fluid was lil low and pads were almost gone so im changing them anyways
 
Adding brake fluid solved the problem...

yeah, if it's borderline it won't trip a fault until it sloshes a bit as you drive. that's normal... add some brake fluid :)

Thanks guys. Recently saw the same warning light indicators (VDC Off, Brake, Slip) on my M45. You saved me some time and money!
 
This happened when my cam shaft sensor started failing, and I was told that it does that when ever the car senses something wrong. Then again I'm clueless when it comes to some this.

there were days when i would be pressing the gas and then all of a sudden it felt like i was in neutral and stepping on the gas, like no acceleration power. that happened to me 3 times or so. then today as i was driving up the hill to get to my house it happened to me again but this time the car absolutely melted down-the whole system shut down..all the lights on my console came on vdc off oil slip .. everything. i saw a parking lot on the left to some businesses and i turned the wheel to get into it but my car was losing power fast! the wheel could barely turn like it was locking or something then i went to hit the brakes and it too had a hard time stopping i saw some cars in front of me and i was like this is it, im going to hit all these cars. THANK GOD i was able somehow to pull into a parking stall. i kept it running but then turned it off. about 10 min later when i tried to flip the car on again the slip + vdc off + check engine light was on and wouldnt start. when the tow guy came 45 min later the car turned on but the indicator lights vdc off slip etc. were still on. i had it towed to infiniti. they said it was something triggering the brake sensors which meant there was something underlying that triggered the brake sensor electronics to shut the vehicle down something about the starter. i get the paper work tomorrow so i'll let you know what it says. all in all it cost $850 bucks to fix! its a 2005 and out of warranty. i love my fx but these repairs are CO$$-TLeeeY! it only has 60k miles too!

also! my brakes were squeaking soooo loud first it was the reverse then it was the forward, so both of them were really nuts. i had the front brakes done august last year. today they said it was fine still alot of padding but the kind of pads they put on (i did it at the dealership) was too abrasive wrong type. they said the back brakes had to be replaced today though, because they were low. i had told them about the squealing and brought it back a month after (in september) i put the front brake pads in they said nothing they could do!!???. today they said the back brakes were low. i'd have to replace that at my expense which is ok with me, wear and tear, and they would replace the front free of charge. he said that the brakes would not be squeaking anymore once its all fixed..... DO YOU THINK ALL I NEEDED WAS BRAKE FLUID AND I GOT SHAFTED FOR $850 WORTH OF ELECTRONIC WORK BY THE DEALERSHIP?

ALSO******there was ABSOLUTELY NO indicator lights that came on prior to this incident. no SLIP no vdc off no check engine light. it just simply cut off! scarrrryyyy

If it's electronic, I have gotten quotes of $1000 from the dealer. When i got my u1000 code, the car goes into extreme limp mode where the car doesn't want to move. Like you, it seems that it is in neutral. Luckily mine only happened when the car was stopped, and pressing the pedal did nothing. I had to restart the car and it ran fine, but had all the lights on the dash on. Car resets the lights after 20-30 restarts without it triggering again.

so did you end up fixing it? the dealer said that when everything is said and done this WILL NOT happen again.
