Brake Question

Wattup people,
I was just thinking about how much power is needed to stop the car from any speed. I know there are better brake solutions than the factory set up. I'm just curious to see what you guys are running ??

Myself I will be upgrading to the factory sport akebonos. They should provide plenty of stopping power for our M's.

New around 1500 http://www.conceptzperformance.com/...40&Car_Type=G37&UID=20100810054532208.15.90.2, you can probably find the parts separately on ebay for cheaper. No adapters required on the M..

I got an EBay kit for $160 or so and it's 100x better than the OEM junk. Bunch of other M owners on another M forum I'm on have purchased the same kit (I got it due to their recommendations) and we all concur that it's a great buy.

Search EBay for brakemotive and your model car. I believe that'll give you what you need.

Yep. But they are 100x better than the OEM stuff. And they don't rust. For the price I paid, I'm more than happy with them and will be getting them again even if they are $250 for the set.

Ah, okay. I did the same thing with R1 Concepts on my SER and was VERY impressed. I may try that for the M.

I did swap to the Akebono setup for the fronts and I can tell you the difference in stopping is awesome. I swapped over everything stock, pads, rotors, hoses, calipers, everything is from Infiniti. I figured if it was good enough for the new M carrying 420 horsepower, it should stop my 335 hp! What a great difference!:dance:
