Brake pads rattle

I recently swapped out my calipers, rotors, and brake pads and now every tiny bump I go over the brakes rattle like a can of spray paint. I looked it up around the Internet and I don't believe I have anti rattle clips. The pads aren't oem they came with the rotors I got online, was wondering if the fx came originally with rattle clips and the place I had do them didn't switch them over? Or could I just pick them up at any local shop? I know it's the pads because I can grab them and shake them and it sounds the same as if when I'm driving. Any ideas? The rattle sound is driving me insane

Hmmm, you should have been able to take the clips from your old OEM pads and use them with the new ones. Do you still have the old pads around? Did you do the swap yourself?

I didnt do the swap but was watching the process to learn a bit more I noticed he took off a thin metal peice from the old caliper (I'm guessing the brake shim) but didn't install on the other caliper when I asked he said those aren't needed for aftermarket pads, apparently they are :/

Can anyone actually take a picture of the caliper and brake pads I'm starting to believe the pads aren't even put on the right way (driver side has the brake pad clip on the bottom) not 100% sure if it matters or not but has me worried

That does not look correct. Your first picture of the front caliper almost certainly appears to be missing the top clip. It almost appears as if he just stuck the pads into the caliper without any of the clips, etc.

Edit: Found you a picture. There is hardware missing from you install, no doubt about it.

Looks like you have shims on the pads, I also believe that the clips you are looking at are just the wear indicators.

The rattle you may be hearing is probably the parking brake needing adjustment.

Well, I am going to defer to fxlr8's greater wisdom and experience on this. While it looks different than my setup, you are likely using different pads than me and thus, different hardware requirements.

After looking at it again, it does appear to be missing the spring clips. It has been a long time since I changed fx pads so I am not 100% certain.

looks like your missing part #20 on the fronts

and part #15 on the rears

Yeah I believe I am missing the clips those pads shake around like no tomorrow while my passenger front side is rock solid and that's the only wheel that doesn't make the rattle sound

But I'm guessing it does not matter if the brake pad wear indicator is on the top or bottom? On the inside or outside of the rotor?

Thanks fxlr8 those look like to be the exact thing I need, I'm going to stop by tomorrow to see if I can take them off my old calipers and have him throw it in the new ones

I have been serving my FX and my wife Camry's brakes myself a while go, just before that, I remember I went to a mechanic who came highly recommended from a friend to change my brake pads, when he was done, I saw some of my shims and shim covers piled up aside, so he put back some and forgot some, when I asked him he said those are actually creating more problems than any good, he asked me to remind him on the next service appointment to get rid of the once that he "put back". I took my shims and covers and he never saw me again.

The point is, if you need to go to a mechanic - specially the busy one, you better stick around and observe what he does. They do not usually have the right tools, they do not pay attention to details, and they are extremely tough on cars - this guys uses a sledge hammer to pop the outer tie rod!!.

I believe I found the part can anyone confirm this for me ?
I got in touch with the guy who installed my brakes, he supposedly only found the front two retainers and said he didn't find anything for the rears
at this point I want to just find the fronts as-well and just have it all together for him to install instead of having to go back for another trip later because of something minor like this
