Hi:
I'm going to change the brake pads on my FX35..
do you use the OEM pads on your FX or the aftermarket part?
which one works better? which website did you order from?
where to order the OEM parts for the best price?

please give me some ideas..

Thanks

I have the Hawk HPS. When I first got them they were horrible. Any stopping while they were cold required advanced thinking. I've had a couple of close calls...including pedestrians....and coming down from Big Bear without any "bite" was pretty scarry. Now they are really good..but it took a while to break them in. I REALLY don't recommend any "spirited" driving for the first 500 - 1000 miles with Hawk HPS pads.

When my HPS run down, I'm going back to stock pads....they just bite better from the get go!

I know some people tried aftermarket pads and switched back to OEM because of noise, dust, or poor stopping ability before the pads warmed up.

Im on my 2nd set of Posi Quiets....they need about a block or 2 to get warmed up but after that its all good

i did hawk pads on my max and said never again after the crappy stopping performance and grinding noises. OEM brakes for me going forward.

That grinding noise is normal??? Im about to buy same new oem pads because I thought my hawks had crapped out somehow.

I did 8k miles on them with oem rotors and it did that the whole time. Switched back to oem pads with the same rotors and grinding was gone.
