It was dropped off at work so I put it next to my LGT:

The good: Even more options - tonneau cover and cargo net. It is in really, really pristine condition... wow. We love it already! Already put the new hitch cover on and new weathertechs in and my Amazon $16 wireless headphones worked perfectly for the entertainment system.. I'll order another pair now that I know these work and are comfortable. Also, the car must have just had an oil change as there is a window still saying it is due next at 44k and it has 40k on it now. And it came with a FULL tank of gas to boot. None of those beautiful 20's even have a scuff mark on them. Nice.

The bad:
There is a little burn mark on the plastic cover over the instrument cluster. Not a huge deal and it is at the very bottom. Looks like a cigarette fell there(?) but the car does not smell like it has ever been smoked in. No biggie and I drove it for half an hour before even noticing it. And one of the fog lights is burned out.

I thought with a 320hp V8 the thing would haul ass a little more. Don't think it is much quicker than the wife's current 240hp Honda, but then again that is a car and only FWD. And not quicker than my 463hp/521tq Subaru (no I wasn't expecting it to be... ) And gobs more power than my Jeep Wrangler. Ugh. I like tons of power and I would not say the FX45 has a ton... certainly adequate. I would not have been happy with any less power but what it's got is decent. Maybe I'll appreciate it more on the highway.

The subwoofer is circular and is in the forward trunk storage compartment... looks like it is basically a subwoofer built to exactly occupy the spare tire spot. Cool!More pics later...

I personally would take all that stuff out except the tow hook (put in glove compartment). Take off all that plastic and subwoofer and throw like a huge 15 or 18 inch sub woofer and amp, plenty of room.
=)

Sounds like a great deal... Still pondering on getting a FX... I would love to be part of the IS forums for real lol... Ebay has some clean FX's.. I just searched today and found some pretty good deals... Still amazes me how the used car market is up.. Some prices are a bit ridiculous IMO but some are on cue... Best of luck with the FX..

On the second picture here notice the tops of doors especially beat to hell... even the chrome window trim trashed. Dent marks go most the way down the doors. Hail around golf-ball sized and it hailed for a LONG time. We saw hail hit the car then bounce 15' up in the air. Several other vehicles were badly damaged but my fiberglass boat, attached to the back of the FX45 is OKAY, I think...

Here is another one... I will have to go out and get some better pics, but this one shows how bad some of the side damage is.. note the huge dents by the corner of the rear window.

I will take it to the body shop later this week. Insurance man says they won't total until repair estimates approach 70% or the car's value. Not sure if it is repairable though with so much of the damage so deep. The passenger side and rear are not very bad, but the other 2 sides are. If they decide to total it out, I'll either be offered a check for full replacement cost in exchange for the vehicle or a settlement check and may keep the vehicle. Initially I lean towards the settlement check, but only if I think it is a good offer.

It took me more than 6 months of my nationwide search to find this one... I wanted an '06+ FX45 black/black, tech/nav, rear DVD, towing, under 40k miles and under $25k. Good luck finding that again.

Prior to my trip I took it to my shop and had them do a detailed inspection on the vehicle... They were very impressed.. said all fluids, belts, filters, etc. looked like they were just changed, good brakes, etc. The only thing they could find was a wheel weight had fallen off one of the wheels. So I had them re-balance all 4 and do a 4-wheel alignment. Car was literally perfect until 4:10pm yesterday.

Ouch, sorry to hear about this. Looks like every panel is damaged. Whats the insurance company doing ? Its def fixable.

This really blows. So sorry to hear that. Let's hope the insurance will come together and the outcome will be good.

Ran book values on KBB and NADA. For private party right around $30k (retail) and for clean dealer trade $27k (around wholesale). So if damage is allowed to be <70%, it looks like the repair bill could go up to $16-$18k before they would total it out. So maybe is fixable.. I hope so. But if they gave me a settlement for $18k then I'd only have $6500 into this vehicle and I'd be a fool to get rid of it for cosmetic damage (Paid $24.5k). Will be interesting.. taking into the body shop tomorrow for estimate when we get back to Colorado. At least I hadn't licensed it yet, which would really affect my bottom line... licensing fees are 8.5% where I live so around $2100 to license!

ouch, just 2 weeks ago Long Island NY had a hail storm and most cars looked similar to yours. good luck on the repairs and insurance.
