Yeah yeah yeah, not another Bose sub question. More of a rant. How have they put this same shitty plastic frisbee in so many cars and NOBODY has released a direct clip in replacement?

I totally agree but sadly that's still the case, so it's a case of either working with what you have or starting from scratch.

I replaced the pathetic factory sub amp with a small 300w Rockford Fosgate Punch PBR300X1 and it has made a big difference and a much better partner for the factory sub speakers, which were crying out for more power.

I replaced mine with a Cherwin Vega 12" spare tire sub and its a Night and Day difference.

replaced the stock sub 2 years ago. built this myself. the box is a tad bit small as i didn't account for the area of the sub itself but sounds damn good for a 400W shallow mount 10"
