Bose CD changer issues

Well after a year of keeping me incredibly happy, the 6 disc changer in my '03 FX45 stopped working the other day. When I attempt to get it to play a disc, the display flashes the disc number for a minute or so, while not playing anything, then the display changes to read "check disc". Of course, I checked the disc. Looked fine. Tried others already loaded. Same story. Ejected all of them and put another disc I'd just been listening to in the house (known good). It too would not play, so it looks like the changer has a problem.
Anyone else experienced this problem? What's up? Help! I really miss my music.
