Saw these units on Amazon when I was looking at code scanners. Looks pretty cool....plugs into your diagnostic scanner port and reports via Bluetooth (android) or WIFI (OS) to your phone or tablet. Continuous monitoring of temps, pressures etc.. Prices range from $10 to $100. Anyone use one of these and if so does it work and do you like it?

I have one for my Excursion to monitor a few paramenters. Pretty handy. Spend $20 on the reader and $10 on the app. Can't beat that.

Yep I use one I bought for like 30 bucks locally.

I use the torque app on android was like 6 bucks or whatever. I bought it to read and clear codes.

Can anyone mention which brand they use? I'd rather go with something that has been proven to work. Also, can you leave it plugged in and still have your phone paired with the device, the vehicle, and possibly a fitbit all at the same time?

There are several on Amazon that go for less than $20 then they jump up to over $80. All have good reviews, but i would also like to hear from a real user.

I use wifi OBD II code scanner called ELM327 with my iPhone, there are different apps that goes along with that reader, some of them are free with in app purchases, unfortunately there is not one that is specifically for our FX37, although the closest app is "OBD fusion ", for code diagnostic mode you never try to use it while engine is running! There is a "dashboard" in each app with specific options that you customize to monitor certain parameters such as HP & torque in charts while driving, and these can be useful sometimes! The only reason I say that there is no one that is dedicated to our rides because if you look for BMW's there is an app that you can actually do coding with, I am waiting on developers to come up with an app for us that is useful in that regards.
