Bluetooth handsfree sound quality

Car is an 06 FX35 with handsfree package, bought it used in 2008. Everyone I talk to with my cellphone using the onboard Bluetooth complains that my voice is quite and sounds like I'm in a tunnel. Infiniti dealer changed the microphone as a warranty item based on my complaint but problem remains. This occurs with two different phones I have paired- it certainly seems like it is the car that is the issue and not the phone.

Anyone else suffer from this same issue? Is there a fix?

I have the same problem. I think that it's because the mic is too far away from where we sit, because when I talk directly into the mic ppl can hear me better.
 
Sound like a new mod!!!! Relocation of the mic for the hand free system!

I hope you guys get this issue work out.
