blizzak DM-V1 any good???

I have been running Blizzak DM-V1 tires (265/60/18) on my OEM 18" rims. This will be my 3rd winter with them.
They work very excellent.
The rims shown do not look like 2010 FX rims though. They are from some other Infiniti model such as the 18" rims from a G37 Coupe..

are the rims suitable for my fx? bolt on wise and strength wise?
I'm sure they would be fine, but I would check with the seller what model they did come from and ask the width and offset. They are a bit pricey for a used set of 18" wheels and tires though

said came off a 2009 fx. 1300 a good offer?
That is a good price and they are great looking wheels.
But they did not come off a 2009 FX because here are my stock18" wheels on my 09 with my Blizzaks on them. You can see how they are different then his.

^^ I agree Soon, they look liks those rims from the G37 but the guy says they are 18", something wierd is going on.:confused.:

I just bought these brand new for winter plus sport rims and tire pressure monitoring and came out much cheaper. If u don't care about OEM rims, u should do the same.

hey -- how's that jack working out for you? Seems so compact, maybe i'll take out the scissor jack and replace it with that... seems much faster.

It actually works really well Ed. I find I use it more than my aluminum low profile floor jack. If there is not enough room to get the jack under I have a couple of 2x10s handy to drive on.
Here is the link when I did the DIY for the Adapter I use on top of that jack: https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=11263-Jacking-up-the-FX-Hydraulic-Jack-Adapter

In any ice/snow situation, Blizzak's are the best way to go in my opinion.

Just remember though, tire depth is huge too -- a bald snow tire will be worse than an all-season with a lot of thread in snow.

Kinda pricey. Picked up a USED set with Blizzaks and 18" Aftermarket wheels for $500 last time. So somewhere between $800-$1000 will be a good deal. Complete NEW set on Discount tires website cost ~$1300(Mounted, Balanced, Installed)

thing is everything in canada is much more expensive

Very true, I was just going to say that. Most of the guys here forget that we are in Canada and we have to pay much higher prices :mad.:.

Those are 245/40/19s, he probably mistyped it in the ad.

Funny, today I just picked up my mounted 20" OEMS with Blizzak DMV3's.

For those of you that have these, or other Blizzaks, how long do you usually leave them on your car for, and does the tread wear down especially quickly?
