Blitz throttle controller

I think TS tune will perform the same function but in a better way. But it is nice to have this information around about the throttle controller.

Thanks Jumbosrule. :.smile:

Hey no problem! Actually, this throttle controller works with every other mod - TS tune, turbos, superchargers... totally independent of whatever you do to the engine. I would imagine with FI there would be a bigger difference when you use the controller, than I feel now with NA.

Yeah the TS tune just haves you with the throttle body open 100% at WOT instead of the usual approx. 80%.....if you had this controller you can change it at will

So this morning I had another failure event - but this one was different. Driving to work in the morning about 30 minutes into the ride I am exiting the highway. I had been up to 110mph about five minutes ago. The SES, VDC and Slip light come on, so I expect to lose throttle. But I test it out and the throttle is still working! I play with it a little and go to switch my Blitz throttle controller off when I notice it has shorted out - no display lights! Pushing the face of the controller got rid of the short and that is where I then lose throttle response as the Blitz light comes back on. I roll to a stop light and turn off the car and turn it back on again - everything clears.

So now I'm absolutely convinced I have a short in the Blitz unit, causing a loss of pedal signal. If I remove the Blitz, I bet I don't throw any more lights. Probably not a TB issue at all, as I thought. Since I already bought a polished TB, my old one should still be fine and I might be able to get my core deposit back. Wonder how to test it to make sure? Need to pull the Blitz and ride around for a few days to see I throw the lights again...

Blitz no more

The Blitz screen has been shorting out occasionally and I haven't used it since I got my dyno tune done. Today it came out so I can open it up and try to find the short. If I don't have any luck, blitz controller for sale - as is!!!

You make fun because you don't understand what it does.

Drinks - anytime I'm not traveling for work!

Ray -

Since I removed the Blitz throttle controller it has been sitting in my garage on a work bench. Haven't taken a look yet so not much to report.

The polished throttle body came from a 350Z forum member that does that for anybody that wants to do a core exchange. I am sure he would send it overseas if you ask - but I'm sure you'll pay for it! If you want his handle name, PM me.

just curious would this help in anyway for 2nd gen owners that is experiencing frustration with their 7spd transmission?

Probably not. This manipulates the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), so it only impacts the way the gas pedal feels - not shifts.

Also, this module is specific to the VQ35DE. Not sure about availability for 2nd gen.

there is a unit out for the vq35hr

Does any reprogrammer/piggy back system able to write to the tcu than? Starting my research now by the time my warranty rans out hopefully i will have gather a few mods on the fx to warrant a tune, want to know if its possible to tailor the tranmission to me instead of infiniti's crappy ways.

So i read that when F/I and tuned N/A on dyno's this gadet could help the tuning / maping with Hp's on higher Rpm's.
Do you still have it on...?? And how is you opinion about it now when F/I....?

Was just wondering about it this week and knew you had it on.......
