So I got my free Blackstone Laboratories motor oil analysis kit yesterday. The test kit used to ship the dirty used motor oil back in may be free, but you have to pay $25 to have the used motor oil tested and analyzed by them. By analyzing your motor oil, they can tell you how well your engine is running on the brand of motor oil your using. I think it's worth the $25. Right now I'm running Mobil 1 EP synthetic in my engine. But I will be switching to another motor oil when I get my next oil change within the next week or so. I will also have the dirty motor oil sample drained in the little white bottle Blackstone Laboratories provided me with. I'll be sure to mention it to the dealership to drain a little bit of the dirty oil into the bottle. Once you send the motor oil back in after having your engine oil changed, they send you your results back to you through email after done analyzing it.
