Finally completed the 07 steering wheel mod into my 03. Got the control buttons light up.

Maybe when I run out of mods to do I will. I don't reverse enough to justify the cost.

Wow, nice! So glad you got it working. Does the cruise control work and are you able to program the bluetooth buttons for any use?

Bluetooth needs additional module and I'm not planning to make that happen since I have the Dice MediaBridge with Bluetooth. As for the cruise control... sigh, need to make that work some day, it not a priority :smile (2):

All you needed is to add a 12v power to terminal #4 on the back of the >06 cluster.

Here are the cluster part #:
None-tech:
06-08: 24820-8Y70C

Tech:
06 35: 24820-CL70D
07-08 35: 24820-8Y70D
06 45: 24820-CL71B

That's a tough call. No one really knows. When I had my 04' 35, I bought a cluster not knowing it was a tech. Installed it and it worked, but the orange cruise light was always on because it was a tech cluster and it couldn't find the module for the laser cruise. I sold it to another member that had an '03 45 tech and it worked fine. I bought a non tech later with the right part # and it worked just fine. In my opinion, if you match up tech with tech, I feel it would work just fine, but then again, no one really knows.
 
thanks ,i found a savage 08 FX45 tech instrument cluster n climate control with navigation for $400 , i hope this would work with my 03 tech ,but again thanks for ur help
 
I'm pretty sure it will work. Hope you're not paying more than $200 for it. Oh, just so you know, you will get whatever mile on the odometer though. There are places to get it reset to your current mileages, but I chose not to on mine.
 
I went with the 4-6 week shipping could not see myself paying over $500 to get them shipped in a week. Hopefully they arrive before my birthday that way i can surprise myself and get them Installed on my birthday lol.
