Yes, when set the FX will brake if you get inside the distance that has been set. I never really like the feel of it, so I don't use it. At least I think that is the way it works......

No, that same sensor thats used for the Cruise Control is also used in our daily braking as I recall, it senses how close you are and when you step on the pedal it supposed to pressurize the pedal....something like that.

When I think about it, you are probably right. That sucks, just purchased one, oh well, for sale...lol.
