better performing springs/shocks with factory ride height?

I have an 08 FX35 RWD. I have read many threads about aftermarket spring/shock set ups that are adjustable to lower the ride height. I was wondering if there is any aftermarket spring/shock setups that just perform better than stock but do not lower the ride height.

Can the adjustable setups be set to similar to OEM?

Thanks for any help!!

There sport springs available, but will lower the ride height. KYB is the only aftermarket struts and shocks available. For better performance springs/shocks/struts with factory height, only options is to go with coilovers. As other have said, you can set the height with coilovers and will definitely give you better performance and ride quality. Recently, I got to ride a stock suspension before installing a set of coilovers. Let me tell you, the ride quality is night and day.

Anyone have 50,000 miles or greater on their coil-overs? I plan on replacing the shocks struts here soon (sitting in dealer now having tranny, diff and PS fluid replaced) and plan on doing the suspension and rear brakes myself. I also plan on keeping the car at least another 80K miles (daily driver) and while I'm an enthusiast, I'm not sure I can justify the additional $600 for coil overs knowing their damping may be significantly impacted by mileage, more so than say an OEM replacement or KYB. No plans to lower it and frankly, roads are flat and straight in my neck of the woods. I'm a gearhead at heart though and the coil overs, well, they're oh so shiny. I ran Aragostas on my 7 and I run Ohlins on my bike (which require more frequent maintenance to be in the optimal performance range) hence the question about long term durability.

^ Pretty much all the FX CO installs are fairly recent and I bet they are all under 15-20K, maybe others can chime in? No major issues reported so far but again miles are low with regards to long term durability testing.

Come man do it, everyone else it :)

Sorry, to the OP LA said the ride is "night and day", my H&R Springs were much more performance oriented BUT the ride quality - smoothness and comfort, was MUCH better than the OE springs.

Just for clarification, KYBs are the manufacturer of OEMs. They are one in the same. I have done some research. Monroe also makes replacements but their track record isn't great.

while some are made by KYB. Its not all. Most Nissan products I've taken off are TOKICO struts/shocks.

Monroe are cheaper quality in terms of fluid used. I think valving is the same.
