Bestest driving roads...?

has anyone brought up the Autobahn? one of hitler's better ideas.

198 mph in a Ruf Turbo. Fastest I've ever driven. Couldn't beak the 200 barrier though. :frown:

Driving through Bavaria is also an amazing experience. Beautiful winding roads, mountain passes, scenic untouched towns, breathtaking castles, dense forests, amazing beauty.

A while back, my father and a friend of his were going top speed in a worked 560 SL. He says all he remembers is high beams (during the day), than a split second after he pulls into his right lane, a red and a yellow blur zoomed by them as if they were standing still...he couldn't even see what kinds of cars they were passed by...while they were going pretty fast themselves :err:...

And thanks to all for sharing their favorite stretches of highways to have a spirited driving on...now cops know where to set a speed trap :laugh:.

Took an early morning cruise this AM. Me and my buddy ('09 Z06) head'd out at 6 this mornin. Culver City to 10 to PCH to Topanga Cyn out to the valley. Tried to go to the SuperCar Sunday at the bean they have out in Woodlnd Hills, but nobody showed. Wierd, cuz there were like 50 some odd cars last week. Got some brew & a waffle w/ that Nutella syrup, yum, & we just headed back the same way.

We had open cruiseing for most of the time cuz it was so early. We took turns at the lead. He was like, Damn! that thing handles soo flat in the turns. I had to agree. I had nothing for him on the straights. We wernt racing or anything, just a good ol canyon run. Was freakin perfect. FX rules
