Best wheel locks

I had a set of those a while back. They work fine, but are kind of clunky looking. I've also had the kind with the internal key like tchuck referenced, again fine. I've also had the standard Gorilla and McGard spline drive. All seem to be fine. But I've never had anyone try to steal my wheels either, so I wouldn't know how effective any one of those sets is. They were just all relatively easy to get on and off with the key.

Wheel locks can only do so much, I've known of wheels that got stolen even though the owner had 2 sets of locks. No idea how they did it, but it happened. I would just try to avoid parking in not so great areas. Although, if you're an apartment dweller or have to park on the street, I can see how that might not be possible.

superpecan how are those locks working out for ya? Does anyone else have them? what you guys think? please share your experience... or should i stick with the McGards?

regardless of the lock, they are just made to stop your novice wheel thief or slow down/annoy an expert wheel thief.

If they want your wheels, they will get them. I don't like the ideal of a spinning sleeve, rather have a static wheel lock. On spline drive, it's very easy to use an impact to get it loose. Wheel lock key, it's a bit tougher but a solution is always to just break the stud itself.

Just get one where you get the best price. I've stuck with McGard b/c that's what I know.

I bought McGard's locks based off this thread. Also running Rays locks too. So I have to use three different keys just to take one wheel off, lol.

Not a bad idea, especially since Ray's look so different than McGard's, easy to know which key to use.

If you have spline drive for the other lugs, make sure you fully engage the key before you turn, the spline drive key isn't as sturdy as the other keys.

So i need some wheel locks for my Lexani LSS-10 wheels so what is a good set of wheel locks for the aftermarket rims?

I had McGards alone with my Ray's lugs. It because too much having to use three different lugs to take one wheel off. I went back to using Ray's only. As I said earlier, they are light as hell and I love the look of them too. But you can't go wrong with McGards or Gorilla.
