I've decided to scrap the 24" wheels idea and go with a 22", what would be the best tire profile to go with? I also want to lower it so im sure I'll have to take that into consideration as well.
I would do a search, this discussion comes up every day. Can't tell you what size tire you want unless you know how wide your wheels will be, offsets, etc.
Ok thinks, im new to this so im still getting the hang of it... would you happen to know where I can find a post on how to change the HID headlight bulbs?
265/40/22 is closest to factory size. You could go 265/35, but that would be a little smaller. You can put a 285/35 on there as well since that's close to factory size, but on a 9" rim 285 bulges a lot. 265 already bulges a bit on a 9" rim.
Maybe I'll run a 265/35 I don't want the tire as thick as the factory tire I think it'll take away from the rim and I don't want the extra bulgeing either so im gonna look into the 265/35... Thanks
How do you figure that? The OEM tire size with 18"s is 265/60 or a 30.51" diameter. The OEM tire size w/ 20"s is 265/50/20 which is 30.43" diameter. 265/35/22 is 29.3" diameter or 1" less than stock. Is that what you meant? 265/40/22 is 30.34" diameter which is closer to stock. But 265/35/22 works fine, the speedo and odo will just be off slightly.
