Best compliment rec'd in your FX?

just a few days ago. Just minding my own business waiting in the ferry lane with the window down. Guy comes up (he was a few cars behind me, and he walked up to me) and asks what the make of the car. I was surprised by the question so took me a sec to answer. He really liked it, almost felt bad for him when I saw him get back into his Pilot.
 
A few months back when I was at the gas station this rich old man that was driving a bentley and was at the next pump kept checking out the FX. Suddenly he turned to me and said that's a beautiful car I love how slick it looks.

I don't notice compliments much, but I guess I'll get more now as the FX no longer looks stock. This one made me chuckle today. A 911 turbo convertible passed me going the opposite way and I noticed we were checking out each others rides as we passed.
 
I get alot of compliments all the time. I only drive it once a week, so it barely gets to be out on the road. The wierdest thing I've seen so far was when I went shopping at the Tanger mall shopping outlets in Riverhead Long Island. Ofcoarse there are tons of people walking around outside the stores. But anyways I stopped in front of one of the stores to pick up someone, and as I was waiting on them the FX started to gather alot of attention until it became a small crowd looking at the car. Seriously it was about 15 to 20 people staring at it like they've never seen a 2nd gen FX before lol. They were also trying to look inside to see who was sitting inside.

I've also had people ask me how much it costs cause they said their interested in looking at one. When I tell them the price their mind changes.
 
"I don't see how you think this looks like a big version of your old M coupe...it does launch quite nicely though...not sideways like your M coupe did" *he did this while chuckling*

I told my neighbor "yeah thanks, I like your Mustang too"....he's fixing up a 68 Camaro in his garage...lol

I had a half dozen people tell me: Nice Lexus! about my 350Z Roadster. Of course, in the land of pickup trucks...
 
I was driving behind a buddy of mine on a road trip and when we stopped he said "your FX definitely looks like it's up to no good"
 
late 03, i was driving to my local grocery, was about to park, when i saw on my side mirror a couple running after my car with the lady screaming something. i thought i may have missed a parking lot stop sign and went through while they were crossing. i slowed down and pulled to the side, then lowered my window and said "sorry if i didnt see you there..." the couple cut me off and said they just wanted to know the car. the lady said they were from germany and havent seen this before. she proceeded to ask me all about the engine, make, and other stuff.

also at work long time ago, i was walking towards my car saw a police car circling around it. for a good minute i thought something happened to the car but i was wrong. cop said he was just checking out my ride :smile (2):.
 
I was at a light, behind a little ford fiesta (old one). the guy next to me said the fx looked like a cheetah that was about to chase down it's prey.

The fx really does look like it about to GO at any moment.
 
Nice, that's is BADDDDD if you got the police checking out your ride. :wink:

Talk about a thread revival.

I was in Burbank about 6 months ago while visiting a company I use to consult for and sure enough coming out of the NBC studios in Jay Leno and he stopped to look at my FX.

As soon as I noticed him and his friend looking at it I rushed out of the office and acted like I did not notice him and got in the ride and turned on the LED's and got a reaction fro him and I never thought I would see the day where Jay Leno would give me a thumbs up.

I was numb.... He gave me a thumbs up. Wow.

I was so star struck that I did not have a chance to get a picture with him but what a day. For me this was such a great moment....
 
So twice in one week, same conversation (Different dudes =)) in the Home depot parking lot, they walk up and say "hey I have a friend that has the same car why does yours look so different"? funny as hell, I start in with well, "its got GTR wheels, Coil overs....and both of them at that same moment start to glaze over, its like they want to know but the details, not so much. Maybe if i washed it?
