Best 24" tire, rim, offset size?

You can't turn off the TPM. You can certainly drive with the tire pressure lit. There is a diy on reprogram the senors on here

That post is pretty informative I'm pretty sure I'm going to use that post instead of going to the dealership to do it. Any recommendations on where to buy the pressure sensors or what branding to buy?

Yeah Mike if you go to their website:

http://www.diablousa.com/

The rims in the their 2012 catalog are crazy and they all come with chrome inserts that can be painted to match the car. The Diablo Angel is toward the bottom of the catalog.

These are the TPMS you need. I mounted these when I swapped wheels and no problems at all and theyre way cheaper than OEM. Any reputable tire shop will put them in and reprogram them for you. If you cant find a location let me know and Ill tell you where I went in the Bronx.

The fitment says that theyre good up to 2010 fx35 & fx50. Id call them to confirm fitment for yours before ordering

I'm going to call them first thing in the am, I want all my sensors working properly, can't be rocking 24" rims with dash warning lights on, even if it is just for tire pressure lol. Where did you get your hub rings Joe? I'm going to call Diablo Wheels tomorrow to check on the size of the hub bore for the new wheels, I'm trying to eliminate any issues I may come across right away.

Also thinking about Ichiba v2 hub-centric wheel spacers for a little poke but I'm figuring I'm going to have to wait and see what they look like mounted first so I buy the wheels spacers accordingly.

The place where you ordered wheels should always include a full set of hub rings. Call them and make sure.. If not, cancel the order out of principle :-)

Agree. You would want to hold on the wheel spacers and see how it is without them after they are mounted onto car.

Most places that stock high end aftermarket wheels can get you the hub rings. I got mine from where I bought and mounted my wheels. As far as the spacers, I doubt with a 24x10 offset +35 wheel youd need spacers but you can always get em later if you want the wider stance. Cant wait for the pics!

Yeah I'm on the phone with the store I'm going to purchase the rims from now. Not only are they a recommended dealer by Diablo but they claim to be the lowest price I find by 5 percent. I had to laugh at them trying to even out there discounted guarantee by telling me I would have to pay for them to mount and balance the tires, as if that's not supposed to be free with a wheel and tire package that pricey. They told me they would call me back with their lowest price point so we shall see.

Get your best price from them then call a place called wheel and tire depot in Yonkers, NY and speak to Joey. Theyre authorized diablo wheel dealers and have em on the floor so you can check em out while youre there. Theyre very good on prices and will give you an out the door price over the phone if you dont need to go in and see the wheels. PM me if you need the info

I think TireRack also has an assortment of hub rings. I had to buy a replacement ring for my winter tires and they were able to accomodate me. Then again, it was also for a wheel that they stocked so it was easy for them to look it up in their system.

I know discount tire has a good assorted size on hand too. Well, at least the one by me :smile (2):

What's a good price for a tire mount and balance? I'm just trying to put some seperation in my head between the price of the rims/tires and how much is mount/balance.

:top: for that recommendation Joe I googled them and so far they beat everyone else's price for the total package. I'm going to go get them tomorrow afternoon.

Awesome! Glad I could help. Are u gonna get the inserts painted as well?

Absolutely that's 50 percent of the reason I picked that rim because I can paint the inserts and sport the rim with or without them. I probably will take them off until they get painted. Not really feeling the way they look with the chrome but in their catalog they look crazy painted. They look like a totally different wheel IMO. I'm also painting all the........... well I don't want to ruin the surprise of how she will look when she comes out of the body shop. Let's just say she's getting a subtle overhaul.

Of course when the tire shop called Diablo Wheels they told the tire shop that they don't recommend a 285/35/24 tire because it will rub. Diablo told them if I go 24" I should be running a 275/30/24. Ive got to admit that even though you and Mike said you dont rub with a 35 sidewall I'm a bit nervous about it. I actually put my suspension under load alot since the FX is my everyday car, you know the occasional family outing, shopping at BJ's alone has me nervous. Every time I hit BJ's and pack the trunk full it looks like I lose a few inches in the back for the ride home. Mikes pic with all the stock wheels in the back and the fact that there are so many potholes in NY are the main reason I'm still getting 285/35/24 and hoping for the best.

It also sucks that Pirelli and Nitto are the only two manufacturers making 285/35/24.

Just realized that this DIY was done using a 1st Gen FX. Is this confirmed to work on the 2nd Gens with all the same steps and tire pressure entries?

If you can find the white plug, it should work.

I'm hoping the shop I'm buying from can do it but I will definetly be doing this after for summer/winter wheel swaps. I'm going to try it when I have some free time. Might even try to rig a grounded momentary switch that I can just plug i. I did something similar to my sport bike so I can display error codes on the speedometer if the ecu throws out an error. It would be worth it if I'm swapping wheels for winter/summer seasons.

It's a done deal fellas!! A week and a half till they come in I went with the Diablo Angel black with black inserts it's 24x10 with a +35 offset they will be wrapped in Nitto's 285l35/24.

Good for you, now for the pacing back and forth until they get here.
