Belt tension

I recently replaced cracked A/C and power steering belts and now the power steering belt squeaks when I crank the wheel all the way. My question, is there a way to determine proper belt tension without using a belt tension gauge?
 
you need to tighten it more.. it feels tight but not tight enough for our fxs

It should be tight to the point where you can push it down maybe only half an inch with your finger...that's it.
