Before and after new year mods.

Well I finally got a chance to get some things done over my Christmas break. Everything was done by my. Here is my short list of mods....
1. Blacked out grille
2. HID fog light kit
3. Black wheels
4. Silver painted calipers.

I must say that the painting a grille, painting calipers, and putting in HID lights is something I have done in my previous car without a problem but painting my own wheels was something I had to pump myself up to do. I wanted to get them painted but every time I went to my paint shop the guy I deal with was never there. I did my research on a couple of forums, particularly a G forum and I pulled the trigger. After finishing these mods I am very pleased. Everything turned out pretty well and after almost a month of riding my wheels have no chips.

Oh and I also got a chance to order the USA Spec PA15-NIS for my ipod. I will also be putting this in myself. I'll keep you all updated. My next mods will be lowering springs and spacers. I will also be ordering black infiniti brake caliper decals.

nice :tup: i am slowly doing the exact same stuff to mine. How did you go about doing the grill? Does the emblem just pop off like in the rims? Also how did you do the sanding on it?
 
Nice. Now you need to paint the headlight housings black and tint the tails and reflectors a lil bit. Btw is that a bentley I see in front of the fx in the first pic?

I used 180 grit sandpaper. That's really the hardest part. The emblem pops off but you have to heat it. I didn't go through all of that, I just taped mine with scotch tape.

Yeah I have been thinking about tinting my back lights. I might do it. Oh no that's not a bentley, that's my wife's Mini Cooper S. Very fun car.

Did you just sand it down then paint or do you need primer as well?
 
I would recomend thst you sand down your grill real good. Pop off your emblem. Just use 3m double sided tape to put it back on.

Most guys use either plasti dip, krylon fusion for plastic, or have it professionaly painted.

what kelvin are the fogs? I want to do this as well
