yeah, came from behind and then tried to pass me and then we just went at it. down shifted and just passed him when he tried getting next to me.

So he wanted to pass you because you were driving slow and you didn't want him to get in front of you. So then you downshifted to be an asshole and not let him pass. This was a race? LOL

"LOL" you have 42 posts so i don't think you should be calling anybody an "asshole" mr. pedobear

i'm sure he wasn't driving "slow"
if you read the original story, nobody was passing, they were racing to get to the single lane therefore it WAS some sort of a race because the HHR did peel out at the light, meaning he was attempting to accelerate quickly, meaning that he had an intention of getting to the single lane before the fx. therefore, since the fx decided to slam the gas one could see this as some sort of race.

and in response to what you said about 909fx's story....
it was obviously some sort of race if they got up to 120.
a lot of people including me, will sometimes do this just to test the speed of the FX compared to the "passing" vehicle. For example, there is a riced out civic riding your ass, and he goes to pass you, are you just going to let him pass? (75% of people will just say yes and let them pass) NO. downshift and VROOOOM don't let that guy pass, show the true power of the FX and put the other driver in thier place.
so if the guy tried to pass and they both borught it up to 120....pretty sure you can consider that a race haha

Wow !
Looks like we have a lot of street racers here, and this site does not delete your thread when you brag about racing from stop light to stoplight. You guys are so cool.

Too bad.

I have 42 posts and what? Sorry that I just recently bought my FX and just recently joined the site. You should go back and reread my posts. Nowhere was I talking to the OP. I was talking to the guy who "raced" an Altima.

Testing the speed? That's what the track is for. Keep that up and you'll hurt somebody. Then you'll go on here to start a thread, "My baby got hurt" and increase your post count some more.

120 MPH? Isn't that a little excessive? What if the Altima is trying to get into an exit or what if he's trying to get into the lane but assholes like 909FX refuses to let him in. Aggressive driving probably frustrated the Altima, that's why he jumped on it.

If you want to race, take it to the track or get a sports car, not a 4,000 lb tank.

I'm not trying to start any trouble, I'm just saying this kind of speeding and aggressive behavior is giving FXer's a bad name, sort of like, no offense, Scion tC or Colbalt owners. Some of the owners of these cars, not all, tend to race, speed and trash talk other cars. Now lots of forums that I frequent makes fun of them or just plain hates them.

Damn...

This post sounds like a ricer's daydream....

I do not encourage street racing in any manner. Just take it to the track so you don't take anyone out when you kill yourself.

it's not racing from "stoplight to stoplight". it was about beating a guy to where a 2lane goes into one lane, and about a guy trying to catch up to a car that was flying by. this isn't street racing this is just dicking around with other drivers. its not like eithe rof these "races" were planned haha. So dont be so quick to call it street racing. street racing is on a much different level. it's not like this site is crawling with an underground society of street racers, just alot of drivers like to drive the FX like it;s meant to be driven.....performance oriented

and I know you werent talking to the Op i just used it as an example. also, not everyone has time to go to the track and set up a race with random other vehicles. if you pull up to a light, see an HHR SS for example, see that it merges to one lane, then when it turns green you hear his tires squeal,
for a second some may think "i bet i can beat this guy to the single lane, i think im going to try that out to see how fast the FX really is" and 909fx wasnt being an asshole, you;re the one looking like an asshole coming on here with 40ish posts calling members who have been here for years "asshole drivers" well guess what? you have an FX too buddy.
and i dont know if you got the memo, but the FX was designed to drive like a SPORTS car, so many people have the fx because of its SPORTY feel. and speeding and agressiveness giving fx's a bad name? give me one car make and model that does not have a portion of drivers who "tend to race, speed and trash talk other cars" if you buy a fast car, you know its fast, you know it's sporty, you know it can surpise other drivers for it's speed as a "4,000 pound tank" maybe if you dont see the FX as some type of a "sports car" you did not purchase it for the right reasons.................
and i would like a couple of links to the sites where people "make fun" and "hate" FX drivers. maybe it's sites where drivers realized thier "sports car" is slower than the 4000 lb tank the FX apparently is. the FX can outperform a bunch of cars out there, some weighing less than half of it. So let's see the sites who hate FX drivers. I am curious to which they are.:tonguey:
