Whats happening fells, Hope all is well with everyone. I have been gone for a while, life has been changing and been trying to keep pace. But its good to be back.

Anyway, i have a question about BC Coilovers, as some of you know I am on my third FX 2008 after the second one got wrecked, anyway I have upgraded a few thing on the car,Kenwood stereo system with high end speakers, GT Spec bars 4 diff types not to go into details, and of course the BC coilovers. My issue today is the BC coilovers, I am not having a good experience with them at all, unlike my first set on my previous FX. TO the point that I am even considering dumping them from under my car...my ride started out very firm and stiff, with a nice jab on potholes and bumps in the road, it was a sweet jab, around any car the car was solid and stiff which is what it was about, every mile was so very please and I had a smile on my face the whole time, however three months after installing them, I am so disgusted by every mile i ride in them, i feel every pothole, its like i am riding on a pogo stick, the car bounces around wreck-less, with no feeling, its like i am on rubber dinghy floating on the ocean, i am getting tossed over every bump and pothole, I feel like I have no dampening whatsoever and I am riding only on stiff springs...I feel every damn imperfection not like what you feel when you have the correct dampening. I have adjusted from soft to hard settings and no change.....I am hating these coilovers right now, I am hoping that I am doing something wrong or that I just have a bad set...Please can anyone share their experience,am i the only one...At this point I am thinking of going back to factory shocks and eibach springs....Please help and or comment....Thanks fellas of its so bad every-time i go over a couple of bumps my steering wheel telescopes inside by itself.....This is really upsetting.

definitely and issue with the dampering, never had a problem even all the way dropped with 4 people in the fx... try what stu stated as u sound like the first to complain that I know of. let us know what you come up with.

Have you inspected the suspension? see if anything is busted? Usually a bad strut would
cause a car to act this way; also a bad rack, motor mounts, and etc. also bad alignment..

add: Do you feel all this symptoms from the front and/or rear?

and worst case, just have them send a new set and then send in your old set. Lifetime warranty I believe.

Josh is easy to deal with if you bought from him.

Thanks fellas, for all your inputs. I definitely felt like I was the only one experiencing this problem. Nonetheless it is my experience and I defie pry appreciate all your suggestions.

I will try to answer all of you in this posting:
I feel the waviness the worst in the front than the back......
The car is fairly new i got it with 22k and it now has about 37k......
I recently did another alignment and I changed my wheel bearings and the response is still the same.....
I will try what Stu suggested set it to high stiffness then drop it to soft to see if there is any change..... I refused to drive it today cos I was so upset yesterday after putting almost 400 miles on it and not enjoying it one bit. If it was not for my stereo system I would have rented a car......

And I bought them from Josh at import, I have contacted BC directly and they are asking for installation pictures to see if anything is obvious.... So I am hoping that these guys will stand by their products,,,, I don't see why they won't.

Anyway so thanks again.....so as far as resetting the dampening, should I set it to stiff then drive a while then drop to soft or just click to the extreme then click it back to soft???

Thanks again, much appreciated for all your input.

Apparently when setting the dampening you are supposed to turn it all the way to hard to "reset" it before choosing a new setting. For example, when I set mine I go all the way to hard, then back 9 clicks. You should be able to go past hard a little without it clicking and that's what I use to know I can now set it.

I keep it the same all the time. I like it stiffer to prevent too much rubbing of the tires. I want to say 10 rear and 8 front, both from hard. Haven't touched them in forever though.

Might soften them up a bit just to see how it rides, but the rears are a slight pain to get to haha.

Gotcha. The fronts used to be super easy as I could just reach in between the wheel spokes...with the BBK no such luck....

One more thing, have you checked your tire pressure too? One time the mechanics filled my tire pressure up to 60 psi! The ride was so harsh and stiff, I felt the car was going to fall apart, it was horrible. So check that too.
