BC Coilovers Info & Unboxing (03-08 FX35/FX45)

I raised the fronts up about a half inch hopefully this gets rid of the squeak, will test tomorrow.

I love the way your ride sits, & it sounds like you're pretty excited about the handling.
Better than Eibach? That's awesome!
Axle does look a lil extreme though. Deff a John thing to answer

jeff would you be able to slam it front and back and snap a pic =]

i wanna see how low it can go before i shoot for it

I could but it's a lot of work. Just imagine another .25" on the front and about another 1.5" on the rear. Remember my tires are about 2" smaller than stock, on a stock sized tire you would most likely be rubbing or resting on your tires.

Just do a quick shop, it's a bit of work to adjust the coils just for a picture...even though it would be nice:tup:

does anybody else think our wheel wells are too wide fender to side panel-wise?

I agree at times from certain angles 22's with lips look small n the then at times they look just right buti think with the drop on the coil overs we will be okay cant wait to get these.

I'd diffently check the max angle those CV's can handle. I know in the off road world they use a 930 or 934 CV's and even when race preped for max travel they only recommend 28ish degrees and thats with the big 934 CV's pulling 22-24" of travel on $500k race cars. I doubt our cars were even designed for 12" of travel.

KYB's for me lasted me ~100k miles. H&R have lasted just as long and will probably last the life of the car.

That being said, I'm not sure if BC will last that long. That shouldn't be an issue at all though, because:
"

  • 1 year warranty
  • $95 after the 1 year and you get a replacement! no waiting 1 month and paying $250 from those other brands!!"
That's a great warranty.

Excellent points made. I think the more height ride choices with the BC's and the great warranty makes them the clear winner! Thank you!!

bc has asked if anyone is local to orlando, they will do a free install so they can provide instructions for everyone (as they are not written in english)

Im pretty close to Orlando? Would the coilovers be the same price?

Nice...

I have a question, do the pillow ball mounts squeak sometimes? I have read online that it is normal on aftermarket pillow balls... what does BC recommend for eliminating the squeak?

Also, I have an install writeup here ///9333

A free install is always nice.

damn, these look really good despite the low price... wish I didn't start building my own coilovers with koni inserts... any chance of getting the dimensions of the front strut inserts? if I could fit my koni inserts in these I'd love to have them just for the awesome strut housings alone...

I take it all back, used a stethoscope and found that it is coming from the ball joint on the outer tie rod.

[st]Eibach[/st] BC FTW!!
