I know I love it! It's a 12 point sequence so as you approach the vehicle, as you open the door, as you close the door, as you etc....lights keep coming on in sequence as you do things....quite awesome!
This says it best:
"Ordinary is approaching your car. Extraordinary is being welcomed by it."

Also, I did some more tests today because Wayne you questioned my alternator.....
Car on at idle, my battery voltage is 14.43 - THAT IS AWESOME.
Then I turned on the A/C on blast, turned the brights on, wipers on fast, turned the defroster on (big drain), and most importantly, turned the aftermarket sub to almost max..car was shaking from the bass.
And the reading with all this.....drum roll......voltage was fluctuating near 14.28 - that is remarkable alternator in my opinion! With all those things on, you want it to be at 12 or more.
Jesse, here is how to test the current draw....very easy.....
Car is off....
take the negative cable off the battery terminal.
then attach the negative multimeter lead to the negative battery terminal, and the positive multimeter lead to the cable you just removed from the negative terminal battery....so basically when your car is not running, you can measure in series the amount of amps that the car is pulling.....if you want to have fun, press the door unlock and other things and you'll see the amps go up and you'll know exactly how much that draws, so it's kind of a fun experiment for yourself knowing these things on how much they take. make sure to set the multimeter to 10A test. just be careful not to have too many things on because otherwise you can blow the fuse of your multimeter if it draws too much current like probably if you tried starting it or had too many things on.
I wanted to deactivate the welcome lighting and take an amp measurement and then turn on welcome and take amp draw measurement and see if I have a difference but I blew the fuse on my multimeter just now and have to get a new fuse tomorrow.
It's a very fast test and a cool feature for us all to compare I think considering our cars are so unique in various ways. Only downside is that you'll lose your radio stations, but that's pretty much it.
Wayne, if you leave your car for 14 days, the welcome lighting will turn back off - just FYI. Welcome to the world of battery drain!
I appreciate you guys testing this and getting measurements! I'm going to the install stereo shop tomorrow...I would have liked to get finalized results of the test before going to the shop but the dam fuse on my multimeter for the 10A test is blown and the stores are closed
