I've noticed an issue with my 2010 FX35. Normally I'd drive it daily and never experienced an issue. However due to the pandemic we work from home and last year the car started sitting for 2 weeks or more. I noticed the battery would be dead 2 months after having the battery replaced. I initially wrote it off as a mistake of leaving an interior light on or something, but i've gone through to make sure all lights are off etc. Most recently I drove the car, and 1 week later the battery was dead (tried to start and it just makes clicking sound). So the battery will die after not driving the car for 1-2 weeks. No aftermarket accessories or amps, it's all stock.
Reading online I see this was a known issue with the G series Dead battery issues - MyG37 and they had a TSB for it, ITB10-010, which entailed replacing the emissions valve (VCV valve), reprogramming the ECM (which fixed an issue in the code where if you didn't drive 14 miles a day the alternator wouldn't kick in).
I see a TSB for replacing the VCV on the FX35, but no mention of reprogramming the ECM and no mention that it's related to battery drain. Just wondering if this is a common issue with the FX? I don't want to bring it in only for them to say everything's fine knowing it's been happening consistently for the past year.
