Battery dead if not driven for a week

2010 FX35
I've noticed an issue with my 2010 FX35. Normally I'd drive it daily and never experienced an issue. However due to the pandemic we work from home and last year the car started sitting for 2 weeks or more. I noticed the battery would be dead 2 months after having the battery replaced. I initially wrote it off as a mistake of leaving an interior light on or something, but i've gone through to make sure all lights are off etc. Most recently I drove the car, and 1 week later the battery was dead (tried to start and it just makes clicking sound). So the battery will die after not driving the car for 1-2 weeks. No aftermarket accessories or amps, it's all stock.

Reading online I see this was a known issue with the G series Dead battery issues - MyG37 and they had a TSB for it, ITB10-010, which entailed replacing the emissions valve (VCV valve), reprogramming the ECM (which fixed an issue in the code where if you didn't drive 14 miles a day the alternator wouldn't kick in).

I see a TSB for replacing the VCV on the FX35, but no mention of reprogramming the ECM and no mention that it's related to battery drain. Just wondering if this is a common issue with the FX? I don't want to bring it in only for them to say everything's fine knowing it's been happening consistently for the past year.

I had a similar issue, something drains the battery. Eventually I got to upgrade to a more juicy Oddessey battery and its been fine for the past 3-4yrs. Hopefully im not jinxing it. But I also have a FX50, not sure if the same bulletin/issue applies as it does with the FX35 and G models.

I work from home full-time and have the same problem. I just went out and got a CTEK battery maintainer and haven't looked back. It's healthier for the battery anyway especially if you have an AGM battery.

I have a battery maintainer hooked up now because if i don't it's dead in a week. No AGM battery, just your basic stock infiniti battery. still a pain to have to unhook it and close things back up every time the wife wants to take the car someplace, and plug it back in when she gets home. I'm taking it into the dealer to do a parasitic battery draw test and try to determine what's causing it, while specifically telling them to keep an eye on the VCV and to check the ECM ROM # to make sure it's up to date as those were culprits behind a similar issue on the G37's.

Was just hoping others had the same issue and if so what Infiniti ended up finding out. Not all service techs are equal, some are very knowledgeable while others aren't, and it's helpful to at least steer them in the direction of the possible culprit to cut back on the amount of troubleshooting they need to do since it's out of warranty and it's like $200/hr labor.

Did you buy your FX used? I bought a 2008 a few years ago from a dealer and I experienced this same problem of the battery dying after about 5-7 days of not starting/driving it. I figured I would have to have to pay someone to find the parasitic drain...which could cost a lot since there are so many things that could potentially drain the battery.

One day I was looking for something in my glove box and found a remote called Passtime (Automotive GPS Tracking & Vehicle Telematics | PassTime GPS) I looked it up and turns out it is something used when someone finances a car and if they dont pay, they can shut the car off since the module is tied to the ignition. It also has GPS. I called the dealer and asked what this was about since I did not finance it through them and they had no idea.

I then did some more research and located it under the dash. I also read somewhere that the module needs to have batteries replaced or else the GPS tracker will drain from the main battery. I removed the module and never had the issue since. I know it is a long shot, but figured I would share my experience.
