Battery + Brake light flashing on dash

Ok car was working fine. Starter died. I replaced starter and it works fine, but the artery and brake light are on intermittently on the dash. On off on off. Not consistently flashing at sane intervals either. Any idea what this means?

I know when I had those two lights plus the vdc slip light it was constant and I needed to change break pads
 
All signs lead back to a bad alternator. The Batt and Brake lights on together indictate a bad charge. I know you don't want to hear this after 3 battery and alt changes, but check the charge of the alternator again. Do simple things like check the p/s alt belt, is it bad? is it tight? Check the plug, is it tight? clean the contacts inside the plug at the alternator and the plug side, are any pins missing? Check the Power cable, is it tight? Check all your fuses.

car on under light throttle -
