bad weatherstripping

Anybody notice the weather stripping seal around the doors deteriorating. I mean the thin black rubber strip (visible from the exterior) that seals the doors when they're closed. Mine seems to be breaking down- when I run a towel over them when cleaning the car the towel ends up black and its not dirt- seems like the rubber is breaking down.

2004 FX with 102,000 miles. My weatherstripping is original and in perfect condition. When I wash the car I use a damp rag to wipe down all the weatherstripping. I have never used any products on the stripping and don't have color come off onto the rag when I wipe it.

Does this happen with all four doors or just one? Are you using a product?

Got the FX last week-its a 2007. I'm not using anything on it - just a damp towel.

Just wondering if this is one of those problem areas - like the faded window trim so many owners have experienced.
