hi all,

I hope this finds everyone doing well.

I just picked up an 09 FX50 this week. I used to have an 04 FX 35 which I replaced about 3 years ago with a Maserati Quattroporte that I had for 2 years then I got a 15 Maserati ghibli that I just sold.

I wanted to reduce my costs and get something that I could more easily modify. Plus I missed the versatility of an SUV. the FX is a bit high on the miles (100k) so I hoping I don't have too many issues with it.

Thanks guys. this forum seems very active. I was on fx.org and NIOClub before.

my wife also had a m45 and now has a m37. Its nice to back in the FX, my 04 treated me quite well, hopefully the 50 does the same.

I just ordered Pirelli Scorpion Verdes and have been in communication with Procare for some wheel spacers. not sure if I want to just get 15mm spacers for the rear or do 15mm front and 20mm rear. any thoughts?

The tires are 275 45 21 instead of 265 and I do plan to lower it eventually, either eiboch or BC coilovers (had them on an old WRX and liked them) in the coming months.
 
My 07qp was about $5k per year not including tires. My 15 ghibli cost me nothing to maintain. I sold it before the 1st maintenance was needed.

I chuckled a bit at "more easily modify" - aside from some exterior pieces shared with the 35 you can get on ebay and some ok-brand coilovers there isn't much to choose from for the 50. Most modifications will be custom especially talking performance. The 50 is a great truck and I keep fighting with myself whether to sell it or keep it. One day I am ready to trade it but then I go on a nice drive and say its not worth it.
