2010 FX50S
Hi all,

Today, I picked up a 2010 Black/Graphite FX50S. Car included Tech & Sport packages, Roof cross bars, Cargo mat and organizer, and Illuminated Kickplates.

This is actually my second FX after a 3+ year hiatus when I had to sell my 04 FX35 back in 2007 due to financial issues. I regretted it greatly since day 1. I swore that I would once again be an FX owner for life.

The car is everything I expected and more.

My only complaint is that since the vehicle was purchased in NY and is for use in PA, it doesn't need a front license plate. The NY dealer drilled two holes into the front bumper (like they always do) to hold the license plate holder, so now I am stuck with two fugly holes that I will have to cover up with BumperPlugs. They even left a gouge in the bumper where they must have bumped the drill bit into the bumper by mistake!

What is the best product out there to replace a gouge in the bumper? Paint doesn't seem to have come off, but there is an indentation the size of a drill bit head that I need to fill. Will just touch-up paint do?

In addition, I'm really excited about the possibility of doing the smoked tail lamps!

Thanks!!

I bought my FX from a NJ dealer who also drilled holes in my front bumper. I called the dealership and after a lot of dialogue, we shared the body shop tab to have them repaired( about 500.00). You would never know they were there. He removed the bumper cover, repaired the holes and blended the paint perfectly. If you need the name of the shop let me know(old family business-I highly recommend them). The shop is off exit 20 on RT84. Good Luck

maybe you can use pdr to remove the ding if no paint has come off? and sorry about the holes =(

welcome to iS!

Thanks for the welcomes.

I'm tempted to do this but my wife would absolutely go nuts if I did this, especially now. I'm going to stick with the bumperplugs for now unless they really start to bug me.
