baby on the way, Should I buy another fx?

If there is one thing I dislike about the FX (besides the bubbling dash) is the space between front and rear seats. I got my FX when my wife and I were expecting our first child. As the expecting date got closer, we got a infant carrier/car seat and noticed that we had to move the front seat up pretty far to accommodate the car seat. We recently turn the car seat to forward-facing, and wouldn't you know it, his feet touch the back of the front seat. If he grows any more (which is inevitable), he will be able to full on kick the seat. I'm 6'2", so there is no way to fit a carseat behind me. If we end up having a second child, we're gonna have to look into a minivan :bulgy-eyes: or (if the finances work out) a JX ;-)

Interesting though how quickly the seat stages pass, once they go into a booster its game normal and the seat kicking stops or the ass whoopin' starts....hah! I am the same height and the girls have managed to live through the FX OK it just gets a bit sketchy during the first seat forward stage. One thing I did employ was those back seat covers that hang off the head rests? The occasional foot bump will happen and its nice to know that the seats are protected.

I think the 2nd gen FXs have more room in the rear than the 1st gen right? If so just get a 2nd gen!?

i recently test drove 2nd gen fx35 and it didnt handle like the 1st gen. 1st gen is stiffer and firmer. Ibpushed the 2nd gen to the limit on curve and felt a little looseness in the front end. What i loved about 2nd gen was the interior and how it performed better when accelerating hard.

I agree the 1st gen definitely stiffer and firmer....but I was also test driving Chris and Andrew's copper ride in Chicago....not really a good stock comparison. hehe

1G is more of a driver's car. It's firm, harsh, communicative, and its intent provides much more feedback of the road. 2G is less driver's more comfort. Softer, less intent and more compliant ride-wise in my opinion.

and no shimmy, lighter steering feel, does not follow road imperfections like the 1st gen

Well guys I finally made enought time to hit the computer. I think I have made up my mind on what I think im going to do. I found out my coiloversa and camber kit will fit on a g35 sedan "non awd". that will save me alot of stress trying to sell everything I just bought and start all over. plus they seem to be very affordable now days. I hope I made the right decision on this, im sure I did. now I just need to find one and sell the 350z. all this selling and buying cars is stressing me out :eek.:. and you guys are right there isnt alot of room in the back seat but still more roomy than a 350z hehe.

G35? Never heard of it.
I've heard of FX35, FX45, FX50, FX50s, FX37, and FX35d. That's about it.

A G? Sorry man, we need to start talking you out of a sedan and back into a FX! I feel the FX is much more versatile than a G, let alone any sedan. You said you miss your 45 so bad, why put yourself through more misery? :bulgy-eyes:

You guys make it real hard on me. Okay I'll tell you what'll buy one if you guys donate the funds pm me for my pay pal hehe jk. Aero and Logan seeing your Fx's make me want one bad...

id consider the fx even tho it doesn't have a big trunk, its bigger then the G35 sedans trunk for all your baby needs stroller, bags, etc
