on my Fx, at what speed can I drive with the awd lock on without damaging anything. reason being, it's snowing now here in New York.

I believe for only slow speeds up to 20mph. I don't have the "snow" button but I think the 03-04 models did.

i have the ssnow buttom..use that if you have it otherwise just take it easy on the throttle and u should be fine

my '03 Fx, has only a awd lock and a vdc button. there is no snow button, and thanks alot for the info!

im pretty sure you can drive around at any speed...it just kicks out after a certain speed

when the awd lock is on, the fx stays at a 50/50 split front to rear until around 19mph I think, then reverts back to only kicking in when necissary, but can stay on no problem. you can turn awd lock on & vdc off & then punch it for nice 4wd rooster tails, drive it like a jetski, but also like a jetski, imagine you got no brakes, you gotta drive like your on water, theres no stopping, just costing down, leave run off room or you'll be another one of those guys who curb there wheels or worse...

Just a word of caution. You should only drive with the AWD lock on when necessary and not engaged all the time as it will cause unnecessary wear on the front axle. Some had unknowingly done that and it cost a lot of money to fix.

yeah, don't want lock when traction is very high like on dry pavement..., think that's why they changed it to snow afterwards?
