OK I'm not posting anymore on here in regards to the Volvo DIY, as soon as the DIY is posted that will be my main thread to address any questions and comments :)
 
This thread is making me want to jump on board.
Maybe a mod can merge all this Volvo thread over to the new one, that way it keeps the audi one separate.
Is the main difference with the Volvo one that it's thinner, and you don't have to bend it? The Volvo one is wider at tip though?

It's not necessarily thinner, Audi one requires significant work to shape it up, when I came across the Volvo one I noticed it's 98.9% exactly the same shape as our covers, and I like how it starts of thin and ends up with a corner drop that slightly sticks out, kind of like the tail lights.

The mirror itself will still need some cutting underneath the cover to fit in, but it won't compromise it's structure or affect functionality.

But this will be covered in DIY t'morrow.

I'm reshaping my driver's side mirror so I can finish and post pics in the morning.

Can't wait to see it. I would probably give this a try if I did not have fears of messing everything up lol.
