Audi and/OR Lexus Hookup

Hey iS,

Figured it won't hurt to ask here. I was wondering if anyone had a friend/contact who works for or at an Audi or Lexus dealership. Any help is appreciated :biggrin: As for time frame, i guess ASAP as hoping to make a deal by next weekend...:smile:

I might have a contact at Lexus of Manhattan. I'll check tomorrow to see if he's still there.

haha only in my dreams :laugh:. Rents are picking up either a Q5 or RX400, going to drive it awhile for 1-2 years then it becomes my sis's (like what they did with the fx). Looking for whichever they can get better deal on. Boring cars, they should just get a 50s :.smile:

thanks for the help guys, just a quick update -

picked up a new Lexus Rx in smokey granite mica. no matter what, dealers wouldnt budge on the price of the q5.

now... time to do a little speed comparison between the rx and the fx...

well i'm at college right now so was just looking at the pictures my younger sister sent to me. TBH, the interior is nothing compared to the second gen FX, and is only a little better than the 1st gen fx. Outside... not too hot about either, but apparently its got lots of gadgets to play with. Not too sure if theres a projection onto the windshield that displays your time, speed, etc.

anyhoo! photoshoot and maybe a couple abusive break in videos coming after finals week :)

haha! hopefully not! The FX is still here :). However, its not the garage queen anymore... argh... rx. My parents really have to consider a bigger garage/driveway with my siblings and i growing up. We aint moving out anything soon hehe

Nope. Rich was nice enough to drop by Lexus of Manhattan to look for his contact but unfortunately he was not there anymore. Kenny (da mayor) also said he had contacts but has not responded yet

ultimately ended up with 'Ray Catena Lexus of Monmouth' in NJ

Ray Catena is also where we got the FX from. Although their service department is meh, they are at least willing to work with the price. Plus, having an aston martin dealership right next door is a good excuse too :biggrin::smile:

Im actually getting another car next month but Il still have the RX at my hand whenever I want. Plus I get to use my neighbors 09 FX any weekend I desire, so its like the best of both worlds.

But seriously, its so easy and confortable in that RX, the soft leather and ride just babies you for when you want to relax and slow down, just cruise.
 
Only thing fun about the RX is FWD burnouts. I have to park next to that ugly thing at home. Makes the FX look good though! It's a nice woman's car though.
 
finally got to play with the rx this weekend. A close friend of my has the previous generation's so compared to that, its a day and night difference. Of course the steering is still like a minivan and its not an exciting car (performance wise) but the interior, gadgets, and luxury feel is definitely there. Its appears to be longer than the fx also. The exterior looks fierce but the back end too much like the mazda SUV. The front however, im definitely digging it.

Since it my sister's car prob wont mod it haha. However she asked for some HID fogs already hehe so cant wait to get started
